Hello everyone! My name is Fran. I was born in Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, in the year 2007.

My grandfather introduced me to chess and I enjoyed our evenings battling over the chessboard. However, my real chess journey started in the 2nd grade, after I gave in my friend’s wish to accompany him to a chess lecture. A spark was lighted, so I started to go to a nearby chess school. My passion for chess grew quickly and I began participating in serious tournaments. Of all my chess achievements, I am most proud of the third place my school team won in the national championship. I am quite grateful for coach Goran leading us to that great success.

Other than chess, I like playing table tennis (as well as regular), listening to rock music, and studying history. I am also quite a big Harry Potter nerd.
